Keto Diet Explained!

The Keto diet was first created in 1923 to treat epileptics. Its popularity since then has increased tremendously. Athletes, as well as any average person trying to build muscle or shred fat may use this diet. The Keto diet releases Ketones into the blood stream. Cells in are body prefers to use blood sugar as the bodies main source of energy. Blood sugar are found in Carbohydrates. With the absence of carbs, the body starts breaking down any stored fat into molecules called ketone bodies, which is called ketosis. Once you reach ketosis (which can take 10 to 14 days) your body will use ketone bodies to generate energy. You are allowed to consume 20 to 50 carbs the first few days in order to start transitioning your body to a different stage, but once you transition, you will notice that your body will get used to eating proteins and healthier fatty foods that do not have carbs. While on this diet, I noticed a significant amount of energy and focus. Although the transition was difficult, I noticed a significant change in stomach fat and also a noticeable difference in my energy level. I recommend this diet to anyone trying to burn fat in a short period of time.
